TRUCKEE, Calif. — This week’s question: What’s your favorite Thanksgiving dish?

Here are the answers, as asked Friday in Truckee:

Vicki Fregosi: teacher, Pla-Vada Woodlands, in Soda Springs: “Mashed potatoes — a regular old basic — with butter and gravy.”

Lucero Mausolff, nonprofit work, Truckee: “The turkey, definitely, with gravy, especially because my husband makes the gravy sauce from scratch.”

Hal Fandl, retired, Tahoe City: “It would have to be pumpkin pie.”

Mary Schueler, retired, Colfax, Calif.: “Cooked red cabbage, with onions and apples. It’s like a cooked slaw. My grandparents came from Poland, so it’s one of the things that they brought with them.”
