Working the Room | How to build your elevator pitch and networking skills

OLYMPIC VALLEY, Calif. and#8212; The Sierra Human Resources Association will present and#8220;Working the Room,and#8221; How to Build your Elevator Pitch and Networking Skills on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 4-5 p.m. at the Resort at Squaw Creek, 400 Squaw Creek Road, Olympic Valley. In just one hour participants will pick up useful tips to use at the free joint Chamber and#8220;Holiday Showcaseand#8221; mixer immediately following the workshop.

Anyone who can use more confidence when mingling will benefit from crafting a short and#8220;elevator pitchand#8221; to succinctly express ideas in a compelling way. Participants will learn to be interested and interesting while generating business leads and making new connections in the community. From 5-7 p.m. participants may mix and mingle while enjoying food and drinks, raffle prizes and networking at one of the most popular joint North Lake Tahoe and Truckee Donner Chamber of Commerce mixers of the year.
