3A All-State volleyball | Jillian Akers voted Most Valuable Player

Sylas Wright / Sierra SunSenior setter Jillian Akers was voted MVP of the 3A.

Truckee senior setter Jillian Akers was voted All-State Most Valuable Player in the 3A to go along with her All-Mount Rose League MVP award.

First-year Truckee head coach Erika Murphy was voted Coach of the Year after leading the Wolverines to their second consecutive state championship. Annie Reiswig and Kiersten Knoppel made the All-State first team.

The awards are voted on by coaches whose teams played in the state championship tournament.
