All-League basketball | Sydnie English voted Most Valuable Player

ALL |
Truckee senior Sydnie English was voted MVP of the Mount Rose League’s Division I-A, while several of her Truckee teammates and North Tahoe players were also honored with All-League selections.
The All-League awards were voted on by coaches of the mixed-division Mount Rose League, which includes Division III and Division I-A schools around the lake, plus Sparks. The coaches determined a separate first team for the two divisions; the two divisions were combined for the second team and honorable mention selections.
Aside from English’s MVP, Truckee senior guards Olivia Duner and Katey Hamill were voted to the first team, while senior Jackie Bolton made the second team and Lauren Peak and Cassandra Sawyer received honorable mention recognition.
For the Lakers, senior guard Elizabeth Buhler and sophomore guard Sara Trimm were voted to the Division III first team. Teammate Angela Wood was named to the second team and Sage Chador received honorable mention. Incline sophomore Molly Franklin was voted MVP of the Mount Rose League’s Division III.
