All-league honors
While the individual and team state champions for spring sports have all been crowned and athletic competition gives way to years of academic achievement that culminate with next week’s graduation ceremonies, several athletes at Tahoe Truckee High School recently received post season recognition.
In swimming:
Lauren Browning and Leslie Ajari were voted the NIAA Northern Region Girl Swimmers of the Year. Coaches of the teams in the northern region, which includes NIAA 2A, 3A and 4A schools, did the voting.

The all-league NIAA 3A team included Heather Shove, first team pitcher, Jesse Turner, second team first baseman, Julie Hill, second team third baseman, Amber Harder, third team shortstop and Julie Rohrback, third team centerfielder.
Shove was also named first team all-state pitcher and Player of the Year. Turner and Hill were named to the second team while Harder and Rohrback received honorable mentions.
