Alpine Meadows and Homewood Mountain resorts drop pass prices

Sun Staff Report

TAHOE CITY ” All of a sudden, getting a season pass seems like the best investment around.

A week after Squaw Valley USA dropped its season pass prices by nearly a thousand dollars, Alpine Meadows followed suit. On Friday, the owners announced that their Unfiltered Alpine Homewood pass will be $649 a pop, more than $400 cheaper than last year.

A similar pass with some holiday blackout days is just $429. Midweek-plus-Sunday passes are just $299.

“”… both Alpine and Homewood have always been known for fantastic kids programs,” wrote Deanna Gescheider, Director of Marketing and Sales for Alpine Meadows and Homewood. “The new prices underscore our commitment to the community …”

Also, $1 of every pass sale from both Homewood and Alpine Meadows will be donated to an environmental organization. The organization will be announced at a later date.
