Boreal Mountain Resort opened its Accelerator High-Speed Quad on Wednesday, offering top-to-bottom skiing and riding.

Natural snowfall exceeding 20 inches this month, in addition to a week of frigid temperatures, has enabled Boreal to expand its terrain to the top.

Committed to opening early, Boreal is once again the first and only ski resort open in California with the best early conditions seen in many years.

The cold temperatures have allowed Borealand#8217;s snowmaking crew to work day and night building a snow base of 12 to 14 inches for skiers and rider to enjoy.

Boreal is operating two lifts, the Accelerator High-Speed Quad and Castle Peak Quad, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., providing access to as many as five runs.

Beginning Friday, Nov. 11, Boreal will add the Nugget double chair, offering more terrain for beginners and ski school. Terrain parks will be expanding on Friday as well.

and#8220;We are off to a superb start this season,and#8221; said Jon Slaughter, Boreal marketing director. and#8220;Business has been great so far. I think the early snowfall has energized skiers and riders this season.”
