Bruce Ajari: Canand#8217;t beat price of Nevadaand#8217;s Free Fishing Day
Have you ever wanted to give fishing in Nevada a try? Well, this Saturday, June 13, the Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) will be sponsoring its free fishing day.
No license will be required, but all regulations, bag limits and gear restrictions must be followed.
In conjunction with Free Fishing Day, Nevada State Parks is also granting free fishing access to its parks the same day. This is a great opportunity for families to get involved with fishing.
and#8220;Fishing is still one of our great pastimes and is an excellent way to get families and children into our parks,and#8221; said Dave Morrow, administrator for the Nevada Division of State Parks.

and#8220;In support of Free Fishing Day, all of our water-based parks are participating by giving free entrance to visitors who show fishing poles at the park entrance.and#8221;
In anticipation of Free Fishing Day the Department of Wildlife has planted most Nevada waters with catchable trout.
The California Department of Fish and Game also has two different Free Fishing Days, typically one in the spring and one in the fall. Californiaand#8217;s first Free Fishing Day this year is on July 4, and the one in the fall is on Sept. 7.
Take advantage of these free days. Try the new waters in Nevada and share the experience with someone who has wanted to try fishing for the first time. The price is right, and you may create a lifelong fishing partner in the process.
The Nevada Department of Wildlife also has a number of clinics and derbies during Free Fishing Day. For more information go to their website at http://ndow.org/fish.
