Have you ever wanted to give fishing in Nevada a try? Well, this Saturday, June 13, the Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) will be sponsoring its free fishing day.

No license will be required, but all regulations, bag limits and gear restrictions must be followed.

In conjunction with Free Fishing Day, Nevada State Parks is also granting free fishing access to its parks the same day. This is a great opportunity for families to get involved with fishing.

In anticipation of Free Fishing Day the Department of Wildlife has planted most Nevada waters with catchable trout.

The California Department of Fish and Game also has two different Free Fishing Days, typically one in the spring and one in the fall. Californiaand#8217;s first Free Fishing Day this year is on July 4, and the one in the fall is on Sept. 7.

Take advantage of these free days. Try the new waters in Nevada and share the experience with someone who has wanted to try fishing for the first time. The price is right, and you may create a lifelong fishing partner in the process.
