Girls golf: Truckee finishes second at Lowry

On Sept. 2 at Lowry Municipal Golf Course, Truckee finished second by shooting 519, 21 strokes behind winner Incline (498).

Truckee’s Katie Fischer and Renee Cardinali each shot a 94, as Fischer edged out Cardinali for fourth overall in a tie-breaker. Cardinali, a sophomore, has averaged 93 in each of her first two matches.

Incline’s Ashley Wood shot a tournament low 84, as Incline remains two points ahead of Truckee in the Northern 3A standings.

Other Truckee scores: Jennifer Womack 107, Amy Watkins 111, Katy Jones 113, Emma Shaffer 154

[Truckee’s scheduled match for Thursday, Sept. 9, at Incline’s Mountain Course has been switched to Friday, Sept. 10, at Eagle Valley (East) in Carson City starting at 1:30 p.m.]
