The Tahoe-Truckee High School boys’ golf team did it again over the weekend, winning a tournament at Northstar Friday.

Taking on five division rivals, Truckee came out the clear winner with 412 strokes to Spring Creek’s nearest low of 430.

Shooting the low of the day was Matt Lundbeck with a 77 (40,37), followed by Tony Neadeau with an 81 (39, 42), and Mark Lundbeck with an 83 (40, 43).

Rounding out the scores for TTHS were Jon Reedy with an 85 (44, 41), Chris Gerdin with an 86 (44, 42) and Dustin Gilmore with an 89 (51, 38).

The win kept Truckee atop the Div. 1 AAA standings with a commanding lead above second-place Spring Creek.

Truckee has averaged 402.9 per tournament this season, while Spring Creek averaged 422.9.

State under way

The state tournament began yesterday after press time and continues today at Dayton.
