Homecoming coming up

TTHS begins its 1999 Homecoming celebration next week.

On Wednesday, Oct. 13, starting around noon (lunchtime) the junior and senior girls will play in a powderpuff football game. Later, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, there is the Homecoming rally, and the Homecoming court will be presented.

Festivities resume Saturday, Oct. 16, when there will be a Homecoming parade that starts in downtown Truckee at the railroad tracks and travels down Donner Pass Road en route to TTHS. The parade begins at 9 a.m.

The JV Wolverines will host ROP in the day’s opening football game, beginning at 11 a.m.

Class floats will participate in a procession between the JV and varsity football games. The varsity game against ROP begins at 1:30 p.m.

The Homecoming King and Queen will be announced following the varsity game.

The Homecoming dance is Saturday night at the high school, the time to be announced.
