The Incline High football team will host its annual fundraiser, the Highlander Hail-Mary Poker Extravaganza, on May 30.

The event will take place at the Grand Lodge Casino in the Hyatt at Incline Village starting at 9 a.m.

All proceeds go to the Incline football team to help pay for newer, safer equipment, uniform items and improved training tools.

A seat at the table is $100 and comes with $1,000 in casino chips, as well as an opportunity to buy in again for another $100 up to 3three times throughout the first rounds of the tournament. For novice poker players, the event will include training sessions.

The winner of the tournament takes home $2,500, while second place receives $500 and third place receives $250. Many other consolation prizes will be given away, awarded or won via silent auction throughout the event. In all, there will be more than 50 prizes worth over $9,200.

Last year’s tournament netted the football program more than $7,000, and Incline coach Scott Conn is hoping for an even bigger tournament this year.
