The third race of the NorCal high school mountain bike season brought together more than 700 riders, great weather and a challenging course.

With just four riders on the team, the Incline High mountain bike team rode well, taking some top spots from bigger teams.

Meghan Kelley, the sole female rider on the team, had her best ride of the season, finishing fourth in the freshman girls division.

In the freshman boys D2 field of 60 riders, Nelson Bedient finished in sixth place. Conor Drewes had a good race, improving his time from earlier races.

Competing in his first race of the season, Russell Conway had a strong finish in the D2 JV boys division.

NorCal is the largest high school league in the country. Incline team members compete against riders from more than 50 high schools in the Northern California area. The next NorCal race takes place at Laguna Seca near Monterey in early April.
