Incline soccer | Girls, boys improve to 4-0 in league

The defending state champion Incline soccer teams traveled to the eastern reaches of the state this past weekend and returned with their undefeated league records intact.

The girls squad defeated West Wendover 8-0 on Friday and White Pine 5-4 on Saturday, while the boys beat West Wendover 2-0 and White Pine 8-1.

Vanessa Andrade led the Incline girls with four goals over the weekend. Caitlin May added two goals, and Emily White, Madison Wallner, Rachel Homola, Belle Johnson, Alondra Luna, Kandace Dirga and Harmony Bates contributed a goal apiece.

Stats were not available for the Incline boys.

Both Incline teams then followed up with league wins at Yerington on Tuesday, the boys 11-1 and the girls 12-0.

Andrade scored three goals for the Incline girls, while Belle Johnson added two goals, and Luna, Wallner, Dirga, Bridgette Johnson, White, Kayla Smothers and Emily Donahue each scored one goal.

The Incline girls and boys are both 5-0 in league play.

The Highlanders are scheduled to host Whittell on Thursday, boys at 5 p.m. and girls following at 7. The Highlanders then host North Tahoe on Tuesday at the same times.
