Incline tops Yerington for second straight win in high school football
Incline High’s football team picked up their second win of the season, taking a 24-6 road victory over the Yerington junior varsity squad on Thursday night, Sept. 7.
The young Highlanders team opened a 10-0 lead by halftime behind a field goal from freshman kicker Marco Barraza, and a 15-yard touchdown run from freshman running back Brad Rye.
Freshman quarterback Dylan Cleary then connected with junior running back Eleazar Santiago for a third quarter touchdown, as the Highlanders took a 17-0 advantage into the final quarter.
Yerington would get on the board in the fourth but were matched by another Highlanders touchdown, as Incline cruised to their second win in a row.
The team now hits their bye week, and will next see the field on Sept. 22 with a road game against Foresthill High School.
