Jan Kurahara to speak on fly tying

The Tahoe Truckee Fly Fishers Club invite the general public to attend a regular monthly membership meeting on Thursday, Jan. 28 at the Crystal Bay Club on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe.

There is a fly tying demonstration at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting starts at 7:30 p.m.

Featured speaker is Jan Kurahara, a fly tyer, fisherman, instructor and speaker. He is the number one instructor for the Sage Road Company. He guides and instructs the Masters Program at Clearwater House in Northern California.

Kurahara puts on clinics on fly tying and fly casting all over the U.S. and the world.

He holds the title of Master Classification from the Federation of Fly Fishers.

He will speak on fly fishing lakes. He will also conduct the fly tying demonstration prior to the meeting.
