Lake Tahoe weather: Warming later this week

Some warming across the Lake Tahoe Basin is in the forecast for later this week, however the chance for rain and thunderstorms remains through at least Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

For today it should remain cloudy this morning and then mostly cloudy with isolated showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs 59 to 69 with light winds becoming southwest around 10 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight it should be mostly cloudy with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms in the evening then scattered showers after



midnight. Lows 40 to 50. West winds around 10 mph in the evening, according to the weather service.

Tomorrow is should be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers in the morning then a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs 55 to 65. Light winds becoming northeast around 10 mph in the afternoon.



On Tuesday night, expect mostly cloudy skies with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening then a chance of showers after midnight. Lows should be 37 to 47. West winds up to 10 mph in the evening becoming light.

On Wednesday expect partly cloudy skies with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs 66 to 76. On Wednesday night, expect partly cloudy skies with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows 38 to 48.

Thursday and Friday call for clear days and sunny skies, with highs 72 to 82.
