Lightning lights up competitors
The 12 and under Sierra soccer lightning club is heating up its summer league.
In the league the boys have a record of 7-1.
They took did well in their first two tournaments this year. Winning the Comstock Shoot Out in Carson City and the Micro Six tournament in Reno. Two weeks ago they suffered their first lose in the Medford Rougue Valley Cup tournament in Oregon, though the Lightning still managed to place second in the tournament.
The Lightning is lead on the field by Victor Islas, Ryan Roberts and Emanuel Sarabia.
The team has also experienced what coach Rich Stull referred to as, “Quality improvement by Ryan Newlan at goal tending.”
“The whole team has stepped up. They’re playing a really great team game. All the players have bought into the whole aspect of playing as a team. It has been a really amazing season,” said Coach Stull.
