Dawson Smith was outstanding on the mound as he struck out nine Cubs and only let in one earned run.Batting stars: For the Red Sox, Max Wingard was the hitting star of the day, going 3-for-3 with a double, a run scored and an RBI. Sean Kelly was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs, and Jack Wright also had two hits while scoring a run and driving in a run. Jayden Commendatorre, Andrew Kratz, Devin Lewis and Peter Vaio also had hits and scored runs.Fielding stars: With pitcher Dawson Smith recording nine strikeouts, there were few fielding plays for the Red Sox.
