Little League wrap-ups

The Truckee Little League Renegade and Hooligan all-star teams completed their tournaments this past weekend in Carson City. The Renegades went 1-3, including a come-from-behind victory over Sparks National Little League. The Hooligans were 2-2 with a nine-inning (extra innings in Little League) victory over North Tahoe Little League. The game took two days to complete because of the 11 p.m. curfew. Neither team was able to advance to the playoff round.The 9-10 and 11-year-old Truckee Little League all stars begin their tournaments Saturday. Each play their first game at 4:30 p.m. at Shadow Mountain Sports Park in Sparks. These games will be the first of four in the round-robin portion of the tournament.
