Local tennis directors pair up for doubles win in Incline tourney

INCLINE VILLAGE and#8212; In a semifinal thriller, Truckee doubles specialists Zeke Straw and Wade Holiday teamed up to win the top level United Stated Tennis Association (USTA)-sanctioned tournament at the Incline Village Tennis Complex this past weekend.
Straw is the tennis director at Northstar Tennis and Wade Holiday the director at Tahoe Tavern.
Players from San Francisco, Sacramento and other localities gathered to start off the tournament tennis season in Incline Village.
The crowd was treated to a tightly fought semifinal doubles match in which Straw and Wade won 6-4, 3-6, 10-4 on a tiebreaker third-set victory.
and#8220;This was one of our most memorable victories ever,and#8221; Straw said. and#8220;It felt really good.and#8221;
In the finals on Sunday Straw and Wade defeated a Reno team 6-2, 6-0.
