North Tahoe at Incline volleyball: Lakers win Round 1 in rival matchup

The North Tahoe and Incline volleyball teams opened Division III play with a rival match at Incline this past Thursday. The Lakers won in straight sets, 25-22, 25-23, 25-20, to improve to 1-0 in league and 6-1 overall.

North Tahoe senior Rikki Partain recorded nine kills in the match, while senior teammate Jordan Briggs tallied seven kills and Tilley Gibeaut had six. Jamie Dodge had 21 assists and eight digs.

Partain also had a team-high 14 digs and two service aces, senior libero Helana Kearns had 10 digs, and Sherene Clegg had two blocks.

For Incline (0-1, league, 1-3 overall), senior Kira Porter led the way with 14 kills, three blocks and seven digs. Keegan Wells finished with 25 assists, Mia Bibolet had four kills and three blocks, Molly Racich had two aces, and Alyse Kirkland and Chandler Cohn each had five digs.
