North Tahoe downs Truckee in High Sierra Youth Lacrosse

Rivals Truckee and North Tahoe squared of against each other in a High Sierra Youth Lacrosse League contest last Wednesday at River View Sports Park.

Both U15 and U13 age divisions competed.

In the U15 game, an up-and-coming Truckee squad had to face a veteran team from North Tahoe that went on to win 23-3.

North Tahoe jumped out to a quick lead with goals from Chase Whitney, Tanner Quenneville and Garret Driller. Truckee played a tough, physical contest that kept the game close for a while, but was ultimately outmatched by North Tahoeand#8217;s experience.

North Tahoe put the game away for good in the third quarter with solid passing on defensive clears and moved the ball beautifully on offensive, which led to many goals.

Truckee managed to keep the U13 game closer before North Tahoe earned the 6-3 victory.

The two teams played a hard-fought, close game. David Hoffman and Tony Frankenberg came up big in goal for North Tahoe, stopping many shots by the Truckee attack. North Tahoeand#8217;s Kevin Perez dominated on ground balls, which ultimately made the difference in the game.
