North Tahoe football | Lakers edge Silver Stage with last-minute TD
The North Tahoe football team broke into the win column with a 6-2 victory against visiting Silver Stage on Saturday.
After falling behind 2-0 because of an errant snap on a punt that led to a safety, the Lakers battled back to score the winning touchdown with 43 seconds remaining in the contest.
Senior quarterback Brendon Arnold, who recently returned from a knee injury, threw a swing pass to Chris Hoffman for a 63-yard TD.
The North Tahoe offense moved the ball well throughout the game but was plagued by penalties, said North Tahoe head coach Scott Everist.
The Lakers improved to 1-2 with the win while Silver Stage fell to 0-4.
