North Tahoe football | Lakers fall to Battle Mountain
The North Tahoe football team lost a Northern 2A league game, 57-6, at perennial power Battle Mountain on Friday.
The Longhorns (3-2) jumped out to a 28-0 lead in the first quarter before the Lakers (1-3) struck with a long touchdown pass in the second quarter. Senior quarterback Brendon Arnold connected with Connor Altick for a 35-yard TD.
Battle Mountain used 10 different players to rush for 289 yards on the night, while quarterback Daniel Itza completed 10 of his 17 passes for 190 yards, with four TDs and no interceptions. The Lonhorns also recovered three North Tahoe fumbles in the game.
