TAHOE CITY, Calif. — Brett Hurt compiled 162 all-purpose yards and a touchdown, leading the North Tahoe football team to a 34-0 shutout of Silver Stage on Saturday at North Tahoe High School.

Steered by Hurt, who finished with 126 yards rushing and a touchdown on 18 carries and had a 36-yard reception, the Lakers pulled ahead 14-0 at halftime and never looked back.

Hurt was one of five different Lakers to reach the end zone Saturday. Mercogliano threw for 81 yards on 3 of 6 passing and added 36 yards rushing.

Defensively, Hurt was also the anchor, racking up a team-high nine tackles and two fumble recoveries. Ely Snyder had seven tackles, while Eli Keechler, Ethan Everist, Dalton Lamberth and Pierece added six tackles apiece. Pierce recorded the team’s lone sack.

North Tahoe (5-3) hosts Eureka at 1 p.m. Saturday for its regular season finale.
