INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — The North Tahoe football team never got its offense going in a 6-0 non-league loss to Incline Friday at Incline High School.

The regional rivals stood at a 0-0 stalemate in the first half before Incline pulled ahead when quarterback Nick Barnard connected with Jeffrey Snyder for a touchdown in the third quarter.

North Tahoe (0-1), seeking its first win since 2013 (it did not field a team in 2014 and finished 0-9 in 2015), travels to Smith Valley, Nev., for a showdown with Smith Valley (1-0) at noon Saturday.

The Bulldogs (1-0) won Friday’s season opener, a non-conference tilt, against Independence, 40-38.
