North Tahoe Rams kick off season at Jamboree
Carson High School was packed with 4,000 players and spectators this past Saturday as the local Reno-based Pop Warner league kicked off its season with the annual day-long Jamboree event.
In all, 85 scrimmages were played among 55 teams at age levels from 5 to 15.
The North Tahoe Rams Jr. Pee Wees faced down preseason jitters against an out-of-division Sparks Cardinals team in the first scrimmage, then rolled over upcoming regular-season opponent Carson Senators and finished with a tough fight against the Douglas Tigers.
A great time was had by all with everybody getting some play time exposure and enjoying the circus environment of the Jamboree.
The Rams are now busy preparing for their regular season opener at home against the Reno Wolfpack on Saturday, Sept. 10 at 3 p.m. at Incline High School.
