North Tahoe soccer | Lakers fall to rival Highlanders

Both Incline soccer teams shut out host North Tahoe on Thursday, with the Incline girls winning 5-0 and the boys 1-0.

In the girls game, Elise Nelson buried a shot assisted by Hannah Johnson just 2 minutes into the contest. Haley Derr then scored off a corner kick in the fifth minute for a quick 2-0 lead.

Vanessa Andrade scored next, assisted by Elise Nelson in the 55th minute, while Nelson scored from an Andrade assist in the 66th minute and Kayla Goldberg rounded out the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 78th minute.

The boys played to a scoreless tie through one half. But Inclineand#8217;s Hugo Garcia netted an unassisted goal in the 47th minute to lift the Highlanders to victory.

UP NEXT: North Tahoe hosts Truckee on Thursday, girls at 4 p.m. and boys at 6.
