North Tahoe volleyball | Fourth-seeded Lakers to face Battle Mountain in postseason

The North Tahoe volleyball team enters the Class 2A Northern League Volleyball Tournament as a No. 4 seed and will face fifth-seeded Battle Mountain in a quarterfinal Friday at 3 p.m.

Battle Mountain is hosting the eight-team, single-elimination tournament.

If the Lakers get past the Longhorns, theyand#8217;ll face the winner between top-seeded Yerington and eighth-seeded Incline in the semifinal round Saturday. The winner of that match qualifies for the 2A State Championship while also advancing to the regional title match later Saturday.

On the other side of the bracket, third-seeded Whittell plays sixth-seeded White Pine in a quarterfinal, and second-seeded Pershing County plays seventh-seeded West Wendover.

The 2A State Championship is scheduled for Nov. 11-12 in Las Vegas.
