North Tahoe volleyball | Lakers fall in four against perennial power Yerington

The Lakers lost in four sets against league power Yerington, 12-25, 9-25, 25-18, 5-25, last Thursday and placed second in the consolation bracket of the Carmichael Tournament on Saturday.

and#8220;I was pretty pleased with that. They played well in the afternoon,and#8221; Lakers coach Tom LeFevers said of the tournament. The coach said he also was happy with how his team played against Yerington, a first-year member of the 2A that is coming off four consecutive state championship appearances at the 3A level.

and#8220;I was pretty pleased that we took a game off of them. We played really hard,and#8221; LeFevers said.



Emily Ashbaugh led the Lakers with eight kills and three blocks against the Lions, while Alexa Andrews tallied five kills.
