Prep Alpine skiing: Truckee girls sweep podium to remain undefeated

Truckee further extended its overall lead in the Tahoe Basin Ski League with another first-place finish at Diamond Peak on Tuesday.

The Wolverines took the top spot in the slalom race with 338 points between their boys and girls teams. South Tahoe finished second with 325 points and North Tahoe third with 308. The same three teams are 1-2-3 in the season standings ” Truckee with 35 points, South Tahoe with 30 and North Tahoe with 25.

Led by a podium sweep from Shelby Macrorie, Siri Raustein and Allison Gerrard, Truckee’s girls won for the sixth time in as many races, posting 180 points to the South Tahoe girls’ 160 and the North Tahoe girls’ 157. Callie Tomlinson led the North Tahoe girls in sixth place.

Incline won the boys race with 170 points to South Tahoe’s 160 and Truckee’s 158.

North Tahoe’s Brian Tidd led the Laker boys with a sixth-place finish, and was followed by teammates Kevin Scardigli in 13th, Ian Hughes in 15th and Stefan Glander 19th.

Tyler Delumyea recorded Truckee’s top boys’ finish in seventh, while teammates Dillon Harrington took ninth, Louis Breuner 10th, Trevor Smith 12th and Jerritt Maher 19th.

Trailing the top three teams ” Truckee, South Tahoe and North Tahoe ” in the season standings are Whittell with 15 points and Douglas and Incline with 10 points apiece.
