Rec and Park hoops winds it up

The Truckee Donner Recreation and Park District recently completed its full-court basketball season.

In the full-court “A” league, Heavy Equipment beat Village Pub 57-49 for the championship. Heavy Equipment was led by Ronnie Wood, Aaron Jensen and Trevor Lorz. Aaron Parsons and Topher Manahan played well for the Village Pub team.

In the “B” league, Clear Capital defeated the Lunch Bunch to win the title. Clear Capital got strong performances from point guard Josh Jansen, forward Zac Weinberg and Scott Perbetsky, who had the hot shooting hand. Eric Pasciak also played well for the Clear Capital squad. The Lunch Bunch, Truckee’s version of the over-the-hill gang, was led by Breeze Cross, Robin Rice and three-point specialist Howard Bronstone.

Congratulations to the “A” and “B” league champions.
