The Sierra Mountain Soccer Club U-12 boysandamp;#8217; team headed by coach Pablo Esquivel brought home a first-place trophy this past weekend from the Golden Gate Invitational in San Francisco.The Strikers 99 U-12 boys played four games against teams from all over Northern California, winning all of them to capture the title. andamp;#8220;The kids all played with a lot of passion and pride representing the club, their families and our community with a ton of class and integrity,andamp;#8221; Esquivel said. andamp;#8220;Winning all four games this last weekend is a testament to the hard work these kids have been putting in the last two and half months. andamp;#8220;Overall, it was a total group effort, from the parents to the kids. I couldnandamp;#8217;t have asked for anything more.andamp;#8221; The Strikers 99 U-12 boys are part of a year-round, competition-based soccer club based in Truckee.
