Ski Resort condition updates

Despite cooler temperatures and some flurries of snow earlier this week, local resorts are still feeling the pinch from a light winter and some have closed for the season, while others have cut lift ticket prices. Here’s the most current conditions on the slopes:

Alpine Meadows: Car Days, $80 per carload (up to six people in a car) April 19, 26, May 3

Boreal/Soda Springs: 2001/2002 season pass sale, $189 adults/$50 kids, good for rest of this season

Diamond Peak: Closed April 1

Donner Ski Ranch: Monday-Friday $10 lift tickets

Homewood: Closed April 4

Mt. Rose: Regular weekly specials

Northstar: Closing April 22. $26 mid week lift ticket for other pass holders, $99 spring pass for college students.

Sugar Bowl: 2 for 1 lift tickets Monday-Friday

Tahoe Donner: Closed April 1
