Wyatt Turner, 10, of Sattley, holds on his lap a 24-pound mackinaw he hauled out of Donner Lake Thursday around 7 a.m. Turner, who described the catch as “tiring,” caught the mackinaw on a silver J-Plug trolling near the guard rail with his grandpa.
“I thought it was pretty cool,” Turner said.
