The Truckee Angels fastpitch softball team wrapped its season in July, capturing first place and going 16-1-1 in a Reno league which consisted of 10 teams.

The Angels also took second place in the mid-season tournament, going 5-2 and losing the two games by a single run each.

The Angels finished the season at 23-3.

Team members Julie Hill and Melisa Gadsby were selected for the All-Star team, consisting of two players from each team in the league.

The girls were able to play in the state championship at Carson City in July.

The team was coached by Bob Snyder and Russ Gadsby.

The team mom was Lisa Tierney.
