Firecracker Mile Fun RunThe annual Firecracker Mile, a 1-mile fun run from Tahoe Forest Hospital to Downtown Truckee, starts at 9:45 a.m., just before the parade. Cost is $20 for adults and $15 for kids. Online registration closes on Sunday, July 3 at 5 p.m. Those who miss the online cut-off can still register on the day of the race, starting at 9 a.m. Go to http://www.truckeefunrun.com for more information.Tahoe Twins youth baseball campThe Tahoe Twins will host a summer baseball camp on their home field at North Tahoe Regional Park from July 19-21, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. each day. The camp is open to all players ages 6-12. Cost is $100 for all three days, or $40 per day, and includes drinks and a camp T-shirt. Campers must bring a lunch. All proceeds will go toward the completion and upkeep of the North Tahoe Regional Park field. The camp, which will end each day with a game, will be led by Twins Manager Bob Habeger with instruction from current twins players. Check in will be from 8:45-9:15 on Field 1. Additional golf clinics are scheduled for Mondays starting June 27 through Aug. 22 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. for a fee of $5. Local golf pros will teach the classes. The season is scheduled to begin July 10 and continue on Sundays through October. Games will take place at River View Sports Park. Sign-ups will be taken through July 5. Game times are 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Cost is $490 per team, due at sign up. A $140 playerandamp;#8217;s fee is due at or before the first game. The season will consist of at least eight games and playoffs. The league will have two divisions provided there are enough teams. Officials are needed. Cal-Neva Extreme Rock Crawling at the RanchThe Cal-Neva Extreme Rock Crawling competition will kick off round three at Donner Ski Ranch on July 9-10. Cal-Neva Extreme is a four-round, natural-terrain rock crawling series that delivers an action-packed weekend with more than 140 courses run each day. Gates open at 9 a.m., with competition beginning at 10. Adult tickets will be sold on-sight for $15 (two-day value pass $20). Kids ages 8-15 are $5 and ages 7 and younger are free.
