Tahoe Braves seeking players

The Tahoe Braves baseball team is looking for former college-level players, at least 18 years of age, residing the Tahoe-Truckee area. The Braves belong to the Reno-Tahoe division of the National Adult Baseball Association, which is made up mostly of players who have played junior college ball or higher. The season starts the first week of May and will include approximately 19 games as well as some nonleague games added during the season. Most league games are played at North Tahoe Regional Park in Tahoe Vista, with 10:30 a.m. start times on Sundays. The season will end with members of the Braves and Tahoe Twins playing for their third NABA World Championship in Phoenix the first week of October. Cost is $150 for the season. 3-on-3 basketball tournament



Tahoe City Parks and Recreation will host the inaugural March Madness 3-on-3 basketball tournament on Saturday, March 31 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at North Tahoe High School. The entry fee for the tournament is $30 per team, with a maximum of four players per team. The tournament will feature a Round Robin format with a guaranteed three games.
