Tahoe Twins fundraiserThe Tahoe Twins baseball team is holding a fundraising party with live music at the North Lake Tahoe Events Center in Kings Beach on Saturday, March 19 from 7:30-11:30 p.m. The party will include live music from the band Remley, as well as raffles for a flat-screen TV and Tahoe Twins apparel. Cost is $10. All proceeds go toward the North Tahoe Regional Park ballfield 5. Raffle tickets will be available for $1 each for six for $5 at the event. A beer garden will also be available.Inner Tube Water PoloThe Truckee-Donner Recreation andamp; Park District’s Inner Tube Water Polo begins its second session on Friday, March 18. Teams are made up of six players and the cost is $175 per team. Games are played on Fridays at 7 p.m., with the league running until April 29. Call 582-7720 to register a team.Open gymOpen gym is being offered at the Rideout in Tahoe City on Tuesday evenings from 6-8 p.m. Cost is $2 per person.Alpine to host Take the Lake Triple Jump Line CompetitionAlpine Meadows will host the Take the Lake Triple Jump Line Competition from Friday, March 18-20. A $15,000 purse is on the line. Take the Lake offers the largest freestyle prize purse at Lake Tahoe. In addition, Take the Lake competitors, spectators and party-goers will have a chance to throw down their best tricks in the new TTL Rail Jam, open to anyone. Starting at 4 p.m. on March 19, this on-snow rail jam invites skiers and riders to show off their style in front of the Alpine Meadows base lodge. Rail Jam entry fee is $5 and prizes include swag and cash.
