Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows competing in World Championships Ski Club Video Challenge

Staff report

The Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows Ski Team is one of many clubs from across the country competing for a chance to win $25,000 in the World Championships Ski Club Video Challenge.

The video contest is in conjunction with the FIS Alpine World Championships in Beaver Creek, Colo. Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows is currently in second place behind the New York Ski Educational Foundation out of Lake Placid.

“We could use the money for our teams to help fund the next generation of rippers,” said Squaw Valley skier Travis Ganong, who is fresh off a silver-medal finish in the World Champs downhill.
