Squaw Valley Ski Team honored by USSA as Alpine Club of the Year

The Squaw Valley Ski Team was awarded Alpine Ski Racing Club of the Year by the United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) on Wednesday, April 29.

This is the second time in the past six years that The Squaw Valley Ski Team has been honored with the prestiges award, which designates it as the top junior alpine ski team program in the country.

USSA also announced four other snow sports Club-of-the-Year award receipents:

Stratton Mountain School of Vermont secured the Snowboarding Club of the Year; Waterville Valley of New Hampshire received the Freestyle Club of the Year; Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation in Idaho received the Cross Country honors; and Eau Claire Ski Club in Eau Claire, Wisc., earned the Nordic Combined and Ski Jumping Club of the Year award.

The awards will be presented at the May USSA National Convention meetings in Park CIty, Utah.
