Squaw Valley skier Bryce Bennett to compete in Jr. Worlds
PARK CITY, Utah and#8212; Squaw Valley skier Bryce Bennett is one of 14 athletes slated to compete at the Junior World Ski Championships in Roccaraso, Italy, from March 1-9.
Roccaraso is roughly 125 miles east of Rome, in the Alto Sangro mountains. Medals will be awarded for downhill, super G, giant slalom, slalom, a traditional combined team event and the Marc Hodler Trophy for overall team performance.
and#8220;Our junior athletes have produced impressive performances on all levels,and#8221; said Patrick Riml, U.S. Ski Team alpine director. and#8220;I’m excited about the strength of the team we have selected and that I am confident that we’ll see a strong performance from the whole squad.and#8221;
Foreste Peterson of Berkeley and the Squaw Valley Ski Team also will compete.
