The Sierra Avalanche Center’s annual Backcountry Ball will take place at Sugar Bowl’s Mt. Judah Lodge this Saturday, Dec. 5.

This year’s presenter, Kevin Quinn from Points North Heli-Adventures, will present a slide show of images and stories to help educate winter enthusiasts before their next adventure.

Doors open at 6 p.m., with dinner following at 7 p.m. and the event at 8 p.m. Cost is $25 in advance and $30 at the door.

Dinner is included in the price of admission, as well as a cash bar, music and silent auction. The auction will raise money for the Sierra Avalanche Center to support Know Before You Go youth avalanche education and expanded center operations.

Tickets are available at the Sierra Avalanche Center website.
