DONNER SUMMIT and#8212; Sugar Bowland#8217;s own Daron Rahlves will be making history Sunday, Feb. 21, as he and teammate Casey Puckett race for gold in the Olympic debut for skier-cross. The most decorated downhill racer in U.S. history, Rahlves has changed disciplines and even overcome a dislocated hip suffered at the X-Games to lead his team to Vancouver and a chance at Olympic gold. To celebrate this inaugural event, Sugar Bowl and Red Bull are hosting a Skier-Cross viewing party at the Mt. Judah day lodge. Olympic action will be on flat screen TVand#8217;s throughout the Lodge all day, with skier-cross racing scheduled to begin at noon. Red Bull drink specials will be available at the Sierra Vista Bar.

Sugar Bowl Resort celebrates 70 years in 2009/10, having served up some of the best skiing and riding in the region since 1939. For more information on Sugar Bowl Resort, visit or call (530) 426-9000.
