Tahoe City triathlete to represent USA in World Championships

Tahoe City resident and Tahoe XC-sponsored athlete Jillian Whisler recently returned from Burlington, Vt., where she finished 15th in the USA Triathlon Age Group National Championships.

Whisler was invited to race in the National Championship following a strong 15th-place finish in Ironman Arizonaand#8217;s 2011 event.

Whislerand#8217;s USA National Championship race result has qualified her to represent the United States in the 2013 Olympic Distance Triathlon World Championships in Hyde Park, London, on the 2012 London Olympic course.
