Girls 200 Medley Relay and 200 Free Relay Team: Leslie Ajari, Lauren Browning, Lindsay Collin, Kara LaPoint
Coach Amy Anderson says: “what makes these ladies outstanding both inside and outside of the pool is their enthusiasm for the sport and the dedication they have put forth to swimming at the level they are swimming.”
(From left) Kara LaPoint: Freshman
Kara just returned from Michigan where she competed with the Junior Olympic Nordic Skiing team. She makes up the backstroke component of the team. Kara started swimming five years ago because Lindsay was involved in the sport. Her favorite movie is My Best Friend’s Wedding and her favorite subject is English.
Lindsay Collin: Freshman
Lindsay swims the butterfly leg of the relay and started swimming seven years ago with TTST. Her biggest idols in the pool are Jenna Thompson and Amy Van Dyken.
Leslie Ajari: Freshman
Although Leslie is a freshman, she is hardly a novice when it comes to the sport of swimming. She hails from a family of accomplished pool-goers and joins brother Wes on this year’s Wolverine squad. Leslie started swimming nine years ago and is hoping to continue the sport in college at Stanford or USC. Her favorite subjects are history and math.
Lauren Browning: Sophomore
With a swimming instructor for a mother, Lauren has been swimming for over seven years and is the freestyle element of this fantastic foursome. In her second year on the team and as the most senior member of the relay squad, she takes a leadership position among the group. Her role model is former Wolverine swimmer Jessica McGovern.
