Tahoe Twins to host Chico Sugar Kings on Saturday

The Tahoe Twins are set to host a doubleheader against the Chico Sugar Kings on fan appreciation day Saturday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at North Tahoe Regional Park.

The teams split a pair earlier in the season. The Twins then host the Butte Sabres on Sunday, Sept. 19 and a red-versus-blue scrimmage on Sept. 25. The squad wraps up its season with the National Adult Baseball Association World Series in Phoenix from Sept. 30 through Oct. 3.

Twins manager Bob Habeger said former Truckee High standout pitcher J.R. Murphy will join the team for the world series.
