Teal Ericson WAC volleyball Player of the Week

Coming off a big week in which she delivered 47 kills in two matches, Teal Ericson of Tahoe City and the University of Nevada was named Western Athletic Conference volleyball Player of the Week, it was announced Monday in Denver.This is the second WAC Player of the Week award this season for the junior outside hitter.Twice last week, Ericson helped the Wolf Pack rally from 2-1 deficits to win WAC matches. She posted a career-high 26 kills, hit for a .300 percentage and contributed eight digs in a win against Boise State on Thursday at the Virginia Street Gym in Reno. On Saturday night, she had 21 kills and hit .425 as Nevada (7-2 WAC, 13-8 overall) won at home against Idaho.Nevada (7-2 WAC, 13-8 overall) plays No. 23 New Mexico State (7-1, 24-1) Thursday night in Las Cruces, N.M. Nevada handed New Mexico State its only loss on Sept. 30 in Reno.
