The future looks bright at High Altitude Fitness.

Five members of the Incline Village gym’s competitive youth climbing team — Team Flash — will represent the Lake Tahoe area in the Sport Climbing Series Divisional Championship in Bend, Ore. The event takes place June 13-14.

Team Flash’s Alana Hendricks, Marina Hendricks, Sage Klein, Sam Keechler and Stefan Fellner will compete in the Division 1, which includes climbers from the Washington/Alaska, Northwest and Northern California regions.

All five of the climbers who train out of High Altitude Fitness have competed on Team Flash for at least two years, with Keechler and Fellner leading the way as team veterans. Both competed for High Altitude Fitness before Team Flash officially formed two years ago.

High Altitude Fitness will hold an outdoor summer kickoff event, which will include fundraisers to support Team Flash, this Saturday, June 6. The event begins at 9 a.m. and includes a live DJ, giveaways from prAna, a barbecue and beverages, baked goods, and a garage sale by Team Flash.
